Soccer Recap: Santaluces Takes a Loss

Santaluces lost against Suncoast back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Santaluces Chiefs fell just short of the Suncoast Chargers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Chiefs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Chargers are ranked 446th).

This is the second loss in a row for Santaluces and nudges their season record down to 4-6-2. As for Suncoast, their record now sits at 2-7-2.

Santaluces will welcome Park Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Suncoast, they will venture away from home to square off against Cardinal Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cardinal Newman's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
