Softball Recap: Clay Center Tigers vs. Concordia Panthers
Clay Center took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Concordia, but they managed to turn things around on Thursday. The Clay Center Tigers skirted past the Concordia Panthers 4-2. Winning may never get old, but Clay Center sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
For Concordia's part, Jaylin Roush was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Roush has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Roush was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
