Football Recap: Murrah Takes a Loss

Murrah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Canton Tigers, falling 42-6.

Despite the loss, Murrah still got an impressive performance from Courtavious Russell, who picked up 89 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Jayden Cration went supernova For Canton., picking up 97 receiving yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 79 yards and one score. Cration showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 51 yards. Jaden Gee was another key player, throwing for 166 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.

Murrah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Canton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Murrah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 50-12 loss against Holmes County Central on the 19th. As for Canton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-0 victory against Forest Hill on the 19th.
