Football Recap: Livingston Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 47 points the game before, Livingston Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They and the White County Warriors were almost perfectly matched up, but the Wildcats suffered a 14-13 defeat. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rocco Carwile, who picked up 120 receiving yards and one TD. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 99 yards.

White County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cole Sims led the charge by rushing for 146 yards and one score. Sims' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 133 rushing yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Livingston Academy fell to 4-1. As for White County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Livingston Academy has already played their next contest, a 69-0 win against Pickett County on the 26th. As for White County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 26-14 victory against Macon County on the 26th.
