Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Richland's Ninth in Last Ten Outings + How To Watch

Richland won the last time they faced Bishop McCort and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Rams were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Crushers.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-7, 26-24.

Hailey Buck went supernova, getting 18 digs and one assist. Those 18 digs gave her a new career-high.

Richland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive contests.

Despite the defeat, Bishop McCort had strong showings from Emma Preuss, who had 14 digs and five aces, and Hannah Pfeil, who had ten digs and four aces. Preuss is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Olivia Urban was another key player, getting 11 assists and three digs.

Richland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3-2 record this season. As for Bishop McCort, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-16-3.
