The Ballard Bruins will challenge the Denmark Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Ballard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Ballard came up short against Lexington Catholic and fell 9-4. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ballard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Syrianna Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI Jones has posted since back in April of 2024. Ryleah Lawrence also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Denmark kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 10-6 to DuPont Manual.

Ballard now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Denmark, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Ballard came out on top in a nail-biter against Denmark when the teams last played back in March of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Does Ballard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Denmark turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
