Baseball Recap: Adrian Comes Up Short

Adrian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sherwood Marksmen. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Marksmen this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-3 loss last Saturday.

Adrian now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Sherwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Adrian and Sherwood will both be playing Lone Jack the next time they take the field. The Marksmen will head out to face the Mules at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Blackhawks will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
