Baseball Recap: Nipomo Comes Up Short

Nipomo dropped to 13-13 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Morro Bay Pirates, falling 16-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Titans have suffered since April 10th.

Ethan Silveira made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. John Anderson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

As for Morro Bay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-12. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

On Morro Bay's side, the team relied heavily on Colton White, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The Pirates are undefeated when White posts two or more runs, but 8-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Tanner Gray, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.

As of now, neither Nipomo nor Morro Bay have any future games scheduled.
