Basketball Recap: Victory Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Victory Baptist Academy suffered their biggest defeat since February 3rd on Friday. They were dealt a 64-36 loss at the hands of the Summit Christian Academy Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 59-43 loss last Thursday.

Summit Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from MJ Patton, who went 9-for-16 en route to 23 points and five assists. Patton's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Chance Watkins was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds.

Victory Baptist Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. The win (which was Summit Christian Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 28-4.

Victory Baptist Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will face off against Grace Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Summit Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.3 points per game this season.
