Basketball Game Preview: Lakota West Firebirds vs. Sycamore Aviators

The Lakota West Firebirds will square off against the Sycamore Aviators at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakota West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Saturday, Lakota West didn't have too much trouble with Middletown as they won 76-62.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sycamore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They managed a 61-56 win over Hamilton on Friday.

Lakota West is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for Sycamore, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10.

Lakota West was able to grind out a solid win over Sycamore when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 45-38. Does Lakota West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sycamore turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
