Soccer Recap: Plainfield Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Plainfield won the last time they faced Piscataway and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Chiefs 3-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Plainfield's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Piscataway are ranked 158th).

Plainfield is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those eight contests. As for Piscataway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6-1.

Looking ahead, Plainfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Roselle Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainfield will be up against Roselle Catholic's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.4 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Piscataway, they will head out to face off against North Brunswick at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
