Basketball Recap: Claire Shugart's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central Georgia Arts over Twiggs Academy

Central Georgia Arts was the 38-32 winner over Twiggs Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Central Georgia Arts took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Twiggs Academy Trojans. Central Georgia Arts' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Central Georgia Arts' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Shugart, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. Shugart is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Koerts, who had seven points.

Central Georgia Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Twiggs Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-10.
