Soccer Recap: Peoria Comes Up Short

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Eagles are ranked 46th).

Peoria's goal came courtesy of Brandon Rincon, who's now up to 12 this season.

Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for ALA - Gilbert North, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Peoria wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against Greenway on the 22nd. ALA - Gilbert North has also already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Cortez on the 16th.
