Baseball Recap: Ridgevue Comes Up Short

After flying high against Capital on Friday, Ridgevue came back down to earth. The Warhawks came up short against the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies on Saturday, falling 13-6. The Warhawks have struggled against the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Ridgevue got a good showing from Branson Dance, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Dance a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Ridgevue saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Forster, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Forster is becoming a predictor of the Warhawks' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 7-8-1 when he doesn't).

Ridgevue's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10-1. As for Rocky Mountain, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-6.

As of now, neither Ridgevue nor the Grizzlies have any future games scheduled.
