Basketball Recap: Piqua Indians vs. Graham Local Falcons
Piqua was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 43-36 to the Graham Local Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 44-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Graham Local found their leader in sophomore Zoey Conn, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Conn. Another player making a difference was Kaylie Strickland, who posted five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Piqua's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Graham Local, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.
