Lyons posted their closest win since September 20th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Winfield Vikings 2-1. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lyons got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 25-22.

Lyons' victory bumped their record up to 3-20-2. As for Winfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-19.

Lyons has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against North on the 11th. As for Winfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Conway Springs on the 11th.
