Football Game Preview: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. Atkins Camels + How To Watch

The Mount Tabor Spartans are taking a road trip to square off against the Atkins Camels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Tabor has given up an average of 28.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mount Tabor is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Oak Grove just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 52-42 to the Grizzlies.

Despite the loss, Mount Tabor had strong showings from Kingston Brown, who threw for 342 yards and four TDs, and Jayden Muhfooth Smith, who gained 123 total yards. Muhfooth Smith was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 55 yards. 105 of Brown's passing yards were hauled in by Jalen Davis, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Atkins' offense. They were outmatched by North Davidson and fell 38-0. While losing is never fun, the Camels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Black Knights are ranked 158th).

Mount Tabor's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5. As for Atkins, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
