Basketball Recap: Paint Rock Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rochelle last Tuesday, Paint Rock came back down to earth. The Paint Rock Indians took a blow against the Brookesmith Mustangs on Friday, falling 65-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered since December 28, 2024.

Paint Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Brookesmith, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paint Rock will venture away from home to face off against Garden City at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Garden City has won four straight at home, while Paint Rock won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Brookesmith, they will face off against Oglesby at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Brookesmith's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
