Baseball Recap: Herriman Takes a Loss

Herriman lost against Mountain Ridge last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Sentinels by a score of 4-3. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by just one run.

Herriman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Webb, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Herriman and nudges their season record down to 7-5. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Mountain Ridge, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

While Herriman had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
