Garfield Heights scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on the North Vikings with a sharp 26-8 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Garfield Heights got a massive performance out of Zamuria Jones, who got on base in five of her eight plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Yan En Ni, who scored five runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of her nine plate appearances.
Garfield Heights pushed their record up to 3-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for North, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
