Volleyball Recap: Bellevue East's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

It was a good run, but Bellevue East unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Northeast Rockets. If the Chieftains were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Rockets when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 25-15.

Elizabeth Manning paced Bellevue East's offense, picking up eight kills. Manning got some help from Riley Homan and her 17 assists. Maci Jensen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Addy Murrell, who had 14 digs and five aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 11 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Patricia Mozee, who had ten assists and five digs.

Bellevue East's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Lincoln Northeast, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-18.

Bellevue East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Millard South on the 14th. As for Lincoln Northeast, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Grand Island on the 14th.
