Softball Recap: Vardaman Comes Up Short

Vardaman and Myrtle squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Vardaman had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 8-1. The Rams' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Vardaman's defeat dropped their record down to 20-13-1. As for Myrtle, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Vardaman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Myrtle, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Potts Camp on the 1st.
