Baseball Recap: Laughlin Takes a Loss

Laughlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sandy Valley Sidewinders. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sidewinders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Laughlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sandy Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laughlin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Needles at 1:00 p.m. on April 1st. Sandy Valley also won't see the field for a while: their next contest is against Indian Springs at 1:00 p.m. on April 11th.
