Volleyball Recap: Alcester-Hudson Comes Up Short

Alcester-Hudson lost against Burke back in October of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cubs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10.

Alcester-Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Burke, their win was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1.

Alcester-Hudson will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Irene/Wakonda at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Burke, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Centerville on the 4th.
