Herriman hasn't had much luck against Bingham recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Miners at 3:30 p.m. Herriman will be strutting in after a win while Bingham will be coming in after a defeat.
If Herriman beats Bingham with nine runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Mustangs walked away with a 9-5 victory over Copper Hills on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Mason Greeno tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Herriman is 4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-11 otherwise.
At the plate, Kayson Thomas was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ryker Renteria, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Bingham faced Mountain Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Miners fell just short of the Sentinels by a score of 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Kam Beck was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Jared Orullian was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bingham has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season. As for Herriman, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Herriman came up short against Bingham in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 5-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
