Volleyball Recap: Sangre de Cristo Comes Up Short

Sangre de Cristo kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Pueblo Central Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The win (which was Pueblo Central's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Sangre de Cristo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against La Junta on the 23rd. As for Pueblo Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Sargent on the 23rd.
