Basketball Game Preview: Little Chute Mustangs vs. Freedom Irish

The Little Chute Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Freedom Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Little Chute is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Kohler just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a hard 67-48 fall against the Blue Bombers. The match marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Freedom faced Slinger in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Freedom lost 71-49 to Slinger. The loss put an end to the Irish's undefeated start to the season.

Freedom's defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-1. As for Little Chute, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Little Chute came up short against Freedom in their previous meeting back in February, falling 54-47. Can Little Chute avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
