Basketball Recap: Vardaman Comes Up Short

Vardaman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 57-32 to the Water Valley Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-23 back in November.

Vardaman's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Water Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Vardaman and Water Valley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rams are set to challenge their familiar foe Calhoun City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Water Valley will take on rival Strayhorn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
