Volleyball Game Preview: Riverton Silverwolves vs. Taylorsville Warriors

The Riverton Silverwolves will challenge the Taylorsville Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylorsville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverton, who comes in off a win.

Riverton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Brighton, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Riverton was ranked 15th). The Silverwolves came out on top against the Bengals by a score of 3-1 last Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Silverwolves as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

While Riverton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Brighton scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 27-25, 15-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Taylorsville lost 3-0 to Cottonwood on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylorsville was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-22, 25-23.

Taylorsville's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Riverton, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Riverton took their win against Taylorsville when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Silverwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
