Softball Recap: Schurr Triumphs

After losing to Hillcrest the last time they met, Schurr decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Schurr came out on top against Hillcrest by a score of 7-4 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Schurr's victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schurr will head out to face off against Bell Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Schurr's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bell Gardens has averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season. As for Hillcrest, they will venture away from home to take on El Segundo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Segundo will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Hillcrest surely won't give up without a fight.
