After a string of three wins, Clare's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against the Fremont Packers, falling 67-43. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Packers are ranked 62nd).

Clare's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Fremont, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

Clare does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fremont, they will face off against Gladstone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gladstone will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Fremont surely won't give up without a fight.
