Basketball Recap: Fort Thomas Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

Fort Thomas extended their home winning streak to 11 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Michael Olivar. The Fort Thomas Apaches secured a 51-47 W over the Baboquivari Warriors on Wednesday thanks in part to Olivar, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Fort Thomas' success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is 6-2 (and 4-6 when he doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Justin Kitcheyan, who posted six points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Fort Thomas' victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Baboquivari, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8.

Fort Thomas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-58 win against Mogollon on the 10th. As for Baboquivari, they will venture away from home to take on Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
