Football Recap: Boone's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After flying high against Innovation last Tuesday, Boone came back down to earth. The Braves lost 26-0 to the Gateway Panthers on Wednesday. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Boone moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Gateway, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Boone will square off against Oviedo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gateway, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-6 win against Freedom on the 3rd.
