Football Recap: Gunn Titans vs. James Lick Comets
Gunn had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 55-0 victory over the James Lick Comets on the road. The win was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Jj Racz went supernova for Gunn, rushing for 48 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 37 yards and a touchdown. Samuel Dellenbach was in the mix as well, providing Gunn with two touchdowns.
Gunn's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged four passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Alex Silverman, Tripp Higgins, and Andre Lee picked up one apiece. Lee got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 54 yards.
Gunn will take on Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for James Lick, they will challenge Monta Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. James Lick will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
