Malibu came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Channel Islands Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Tuesday.

While Malibu won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why Channel Islands lost, don't look at Riley Luna. Despite the final result, he had eight digs and five aces. With that strong performance, Luna is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.
