Grant County got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They came out on top against the Walton-Verona Bearcats by a score of 54-43 on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Braves: when they faced off against the Bearcats back in January, they had to take a 60-35 defeat.

Grant County has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points over those games. Walton-Verona's loss dropped their record down to 20-8.

Coming up, Grant County will head out to take on Simon Kenton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Simon Kenton comes in on three and Grant County on five. Walton-Verona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
