Basketball Recap: North Dorchester Takes a Loss

North Dorchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Easton Warriors 70-37. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-28 back in December of 2024.

North Dorchester's loss came despite strong showings from Diamond Newbill and Remdy Wongus. Newbill went 7 for 11 en route to 14 points and three steals, while Wongus posted 11 points and eight boards. Wongus has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played.

North Dorchester's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Easton, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

North Dorchester has already played their next game (against North Caroline), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Easton will square off against Queen Anne's County on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Queen Anne's County comes in on ten and Easton on three.
