Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Buford Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 on April 1st.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Buford, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Central is set to challenge their familiar foe Cheraw at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Buford will take on rival North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Yellow Jackets 3.6, the Knights 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
