Basketball Recap: Stockton Comes Up Short

Stockton lost against Pike Valley back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Stockton Tigers lost to the Pike Valley Panthers on the road by a 52-36 margin. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pike Valley found their leader in sophomore Dayton Reeves, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine steals. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for Reeves. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezra Benne, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points and four steals.

Stockton's record is now 4-12. As for Pike Valley, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stockton has already played their next game (against Lincoln), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Pike Valley Panthers challenge the Natoma Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
