Buffalo Grove proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Schaumburg Saxons 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since April 16th.

Erin Ryan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Buffalo Grove's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Schaumburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo Grove will host Wheeling at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Bison are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Schaumburg, they will be playing at home against Barrington at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Fillies/Broncos' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Saxons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
