Basketball Recap: Peebles Comes Up Short

Peebles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southeastern Panthers. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Peebles' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Southeastern, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Peebles will square off against West Union at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southeastern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Federal Hocking at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Federal Hocking's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
