Stanwood is 2-8 against Marysville Getchell since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Stanwood will welcome Marysville Getchell at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Stanwood sitting on three straight wins and Marysville Getchell on four.
On Monday, Stanwood made easy work of Edmonds-Woodway and carried off a 10-3 victory. Considering the Spartans have won four games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Megan Stulc spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.5 strikeouts per game.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rubi Lopez, who scored five runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Ryan, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Marysville Getchell earned a 7-4 win over Archbishop Murphy on Monday.
Lilyana Balgos was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Hannah Worth was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Stanwood's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Marysville Getchell, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Stanwood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Marysville Getchell struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
