Basketball Game Preview: Pittsburg Dragons vs. Chanute Blue Comets

The Pittsburg Dragons are taking a road trip to square off against the Chanute Blue Comets on Monday.

Last Friday, Pittsburg didn't have quite enough to beat Parsons and fell 55-53.

Meanwhile, Chanute came tearing into Friday's matchup with 13 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 69-48 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Blue Comets have posted since January 7th.

Chanute pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for Pittsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Things could have been worse for Pittsburg, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-53 loss to Chanute in their previous matchup back in January. Can Pittsburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
