Basketball Recap: Stringer Extends Winning Streak to Three

Stringer had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Puckett Wolves by a score of 51-38. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Wolves last Thursday, they had to take a 36-34 loss.

The win got Stringer back to even at 6-6. As for Puckett, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stringer and Sylva Bay Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Puckett, they and Mississippi School for the Deaf will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
