Baseball Recap: Shadow Ridge Comes Up Short

Shadow Ridge dropped down to 11-10 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the O'Connor Eagles, falling 14-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Stallions of the 8-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Shadow Ridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Sheinin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As for O'Connor, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games.

On O'Connor's side, AJ Anderson got the start for O'Connor and what a start it was: he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Anderson posted two strikeouts, the most he's had over his last two games. Trevin Duval relieved him and did a solid job, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Brent Sollars was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Leslie, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadow Ridge will welcome Corona del Sol at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for O'Connor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
