Hampton is 0-4 against Fox Chapel since April of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Talbots will take on the Foxes at 3:45 p.m. Hampton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Hampton fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Chartiers Valley on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 2-1.

Aliza Michielli was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Fox Chapel waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 13-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Foxes, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Fox Chapel pushed their record up to 11-2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Hampton suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Fox Chapel when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can the Talbots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
