Volleyball Recap: Dodgeville Takes a Loss

Dodgeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brodhead Cardinals. The Dodgers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Anna Wellington paced Dodgeville's offense, picking up five kills. Wellington got some help from Kylee Stodola and her ten assists. Stodola also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emily Reilly, each putting up two.

Dodgeville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Brodhead, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Dodgeville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Janesville Craig on the 20th. As for Brodhead, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Kenosha Tremper on the 20th.
