Tarboro took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Louisburg, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tarboro Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over the Louisburg Warriors on Tuesday. Considering the Vikings' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Tarboro let Cole Craddock and Gabriel Kassnove run wild. Craddock scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances, while Kassnove scored two runs while going 2-for-5. That stolen base marked the first that Craddock snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kip Biggs, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Tarboro back to even at 2-2. As for Louisburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tarboro beat Louisburg by a score of 10-2 on Thursday.
