Softball Recap: Austin-East Comes Up Short

Austin-East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-6 to the Pigeon Forge Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-7 last Tuesday.

Austin-East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pigeon Forge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin-East will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oneida at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Pigeon Forge, they will face off against Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
