Baseball Recap: Wetumpka Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wetumpka, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They skirted past the Autauga Academy Generals 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Wetumpka's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Autauga Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Wetumpka wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-1 defeat against Holtville on the 29th. As for Autauga Academy, they will square off against Billingsley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Autauga Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Billingsley has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
